Gon KiRin, or “Light Dragon” , is one of the most vibrant, animated Mutant Vehicles to be a part of the famous Burning Man Event, which occurs each year in the desert of an ancient, dried lakebed. Built upon the chassis of a 1963 Dodge truck, the Light Dragon is 16 meters long and seven meters tall, and is equipped with festival necessities including a DJ booth, seating for approximately 20 people, a hydraulic head and a flamethrower mouth. But part of what gives Light Dragon its name, is the 750 meters of linear RGB fixtures, and several Wall Washer XB-RGB installed all over the dragon’s body and controlled by an e:cue Butler, that brings it to life and gives it a vibrant glow throughout the desert. This unique project, one of many large-scale installation contributions to the Burning Man Event, is one of the most artistic and unique installations in which Traxon & e:cue’ s dynamic lighting systems have been involved. Through the creativity and insight of LEDARTIST, our product flexibility has been taken to a new level.
