Traxon e:cue has reinvigorated the Wuhan East Lake with an integrated solution beyond lighting, transforming the dull lakeshore into a glorious nightscape like Milky Way with scattered stars.
The East Lake is the biggest scenery tourist attraction in Wuhan and the symbol of this city. It covers an area of 87 square kilometers of freshwaters and hills. It is one of the 5A tourist zones of China, and admits millions of people yearly, making itself the largest attraction in central China.
To make the East Lake a more famous scenic spot and prepare for the meeting of President Xi Jinping and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the local authorities decided to renovate the East Lake. By offering total solution, Traxon e:cue stood out of competition and was chosen as the project’s solution provider.
The Wuhan East Lake is formed from many famous scenic spots along the bank, including Tingtao, Mo Hill, Luoyan, Baima, Chuidi, and Luohong Hills. Located at the northwest side of the lake, the Tingtao area is next to the main road of Second Ring Expressway, making it an indispensable part of the city’s view. It also covers most attractive scenic spots, including the Xianyue Pavilion, Canglang Pavilion, Qu Yuan Memorial Hall and Binhu Gallery etc., among which the Xianyue Pavilion has been chosen as the venue for the meeting of President Xi and Prime Minister Modi. This is also where the project’s focus lies.
In a stretch of 7.8km around the lakeshore, over 22,000 LED luminaires and numerous control terminals have been installed, including ARCHISHAPE® Linear, OLUX® LED Flood, e:cue Lighting Control Engine 2 fx, Butler S2 and Butler PRO etc.. All subsystems and components are under the management and monitoring of Traxon e:cue’s ultimate centralized smart management platform – SYMPHO™City.
SYMPHO™City is installed to maintain and monitor the large and complex lighting system around the Lake. Through the centralized management platform, the East Lake administration may track the status of all systems at a glance, reducing the maintenance complexity and cost of manpower.
Completion of the project added sparkles to the East Lake. When the night comes, LED luminaires light up and let the paths, pavilion and terrace bathe in color-changing radiance, like a bunch of shining stars in the Milky Way. The Xianyue Pavilion, adorned with concealed LED luminaires, glow with brilliance and stands out like a bright moon, with a myriad of stars scattered around.
The Wuhan East Lake is another achievement by Traxon e:cue after the renowned Wuhan Two-Rivers-Four-Banks project in this area. Traxon e:cue now is an essential part of Wuhan’s development. Though time limit for the project is very pressing, the team has optimized the process and delivered remarkable works with synergy. The success of the Wuhan East Lake project not only demonstrates Traxon e:cue’s spirit of teamwork, but also tells that an integrated solution beyond lighting will be the trend. And that is where Traxon e:cue goes.
