Return Policy - Europe and Middle East


Buyer, when placing orders and accepting Goods, agrees, in addition to General Sales Terms and Conditions of OSRAM GmbH (“OSRAM”), to follow terms and conditions of this Return Policy for the Goods purchased from OSRAM.


1.Returned Goods will be associated with an RMA number and a copy of filled-up RMA form by Buyer which describes the Goods. Contact our local Sales office to receive an RMA number and form.


2.Return for credit: Buyer may, subject to OSRAM’s prior approval, return Goods, which are not specified by or customized for Buyer, within three (3) months from the date of invoice or delivery, whichever is earlier, if the Goods are unused, unpacked and in its original delivery condition.


2.1    Buyer shall pay OSRAM a re-stocking charge of 25% of the price of returned Goods.

2.2    No cash or other monetary refund will be made after OSRAM accepts such returned Goods, instead, OSRAM may, at its discretion, grant a corresponding credit equal to the price of return Goods to Buyer (after certain deduction or offset, such as the restocking charge).

2.3    the Goods set out below shall not be returned:

2.3.1    those which are not OSRAM’s standard or off-the-shelf products as specified in OSRAM’s product catalogue at the time when RMA process is commenced; or

2.3.2    those which have become out-dated or been phased out by OSRAM at the time when RMA process is commenced; or

2.3.3    those which were manufactured in compliance with Buyer’s specification, instruction or design, etc.; or

2.3.4    those which are damaged (including but not limited to damages to Goods or to original packages), used or misused (including, but not limited to, improper installation not validated by OSRAM, artificial chemical induced damages, etc.).


3.Return for Defect:

3.1    Defective Goods shall be returned to the address mentioned in the RMA form that will be provided by our local Sales office.

3.2    In case of a fault (material or manufacturer fault) OSRAM will at its own choice repair or deliver a replacement free of charge or issue a credit note for “TRAXON | e:cue”-products, which failed verifiably due to a material or manufacturer fault within the respective duration of the guarantee. Compensation of costs, including without limitation transportation costs and assembly and disassembly costs, shall be excluded.


4.All returned Goods shall be packed in proper packages and marked correctly.
